Do Your Words Matter?
“I alone cannot change the world, but I can cast a stone across the waters to create many ripples.” -Mother Teresa
I have always loved this quote by Mother Teresa and every time I read it, it gives me cause for some self reflection regarding the stones that I am tossing out into the world.
As I contemplated the state of the world after these recent election, I couldn’t help but feel sad for all of the unkind and mean words that I saw thoughtlessly filtering through my social media feed. It seemed as if there were so many stones of fear and hatred and discord being tossed out into the ether world. Friends were attacking friends, families were being divided and frankly it felt unsafe to be on the internet.
I think that people should take more responsibility for their words and actions. Every action that we take doesn’t just affect us. It affects everyone. Every day in our lives we all throw stones out into the world with our words and our actions.
Intentionally and unintentionally!!
And those words and actions cause ripples in our lives and in the lives of those around us.
When COVID happened I made a very conscious decision that I wanted to cast stones of hope, inspiration and love ❤️ with my words and actions.
I believe deeply that each one of us collectively creates our world. And every voice matters in that creation.
This is the power that we all have when we make the conscious decision to tap into our authentic and divine nature!!
That is really the work I have been doing these past 4 years.
And I’m grateful for that choice to choose divine authenticity and love, because love ❤️ truly is the greatest healing power on the planet and creates the most beautiful ripples out into the world!🌎
What ripples are you creating in the world my friend with your words and your actions?
Are your ripples creating a better and more loving world? Or are your ripples creating a more fearful world. You have a choice to choose which kind of world you want to create.
I am hoping that my own words will inspire you to become more aware of the stones that you are tossing out into the world so that collectively we can create a more conscious, caring and connected place for all humanity.
It’s an honor to co-create this world 🌎 together.
